  1. Waiting for the black refills so that I can order one of each (blue&black).

Please post on ‘https://getsatisfaction.com/livescribe/topics/ink_refills_are_terrible?utm_content=topic_link&utm_medium=email&utm_source=reply_notification’ so I get a notification.

    Thanks.

I would like to buy several packs of 5 but I can’t seem to increase the quanity from 1. It seems I have to place the order mulitpul times. Is there a way to order more than one 5 pack at a time?

  3. Hi, I’m after purple and green refills for a Livescribe Echo… I’m in the UK… Can you supply these..? I read on a forum page that you’ve been asked about colours but can’t see them anywhere…?

    • Thanks for letting us know that you are interested in purple and green ink. We haven’t asked our manufacturer for a custom manufacturing run in these colors yet. We did commission a run of the Red refills for Livescribe 3 but very few of these have sold which makes us a little hesitant to branch into other colors unless its very clear that there is a viable market for them. So all you Livescribes out there, please send in comments to let us know!

  4. Interested in green and purples

  5. Really would love a pencil version…. But thats probably not possible

  6. Hello there,

Why are your shipping rates to Canada so high? It only costs a few dollars to send an envelope between the US and Canada… $10 seems excessive.

    • Hi Nathan,

I think you’re referring to our international shipping rate on eBay? FYI, a First Class International Package to Canada for 2 oz with tracking costs $7.10 and it can take a fair amount of time to prepare the Customs paperwork. eBay has a separate Global Shipping Service that runs a lot more since it is Express shipment (as does Amazon).

==== We can ship by First Class International Mail (which has no tracking) for $5 if you order on our website http://www.mylabmaker.com/catalog/ ===

  7. Hi

Pens work better than standard. But I can only buy one packet direct from your website (or else pay multiple P&P for multiple packages). Dude, fix this! Get rich!

  8. Hi,

I ordered the black fine tip cartridges for the Echo/Sky pen and the tip friction is much less than the Livescribe cartridge with no difference in feel when moving in any direction. This is MUCH less tiring and can be used comfortably across fast & long sessions. It is what the Livescribe cartridge should be.

The additional samples included were for a medium tip with green German ink and the same with blue German ink plus a fine tip with black Japanese ink.

The medium tip with German ink cartridges performed similarly, their tip friction is slightly higher but nowhere near as resistant as the Livescribe cartridge. The tip also has a smooth ball action in any direction and could still be used relatively comfortably across fast & long sessions.

The fine tip with Japanese ink cartridge was a mixed bag, it had jet-black ink which was nice as was the very low friction tip which worked well when pulled across the paper, however when pushed away from the user i.e. up the page, the tip felt gritty and unpleasant. It almost felt as if the ball in the cartridge tip loose. So 80% there on this one whereas the rest are excellent.

    • Paul,

I’m so glad that you like our smooth-writing German inks! I try to send out samples of the Japanese gel ink because so many customers have requested it, even though its impossible for them to hold much ink. Personally, I prefer the German ink. The Japanese gel ink does write smoothly but sometimes I feel like they are too fine, and they do get snagged sometimes since I tend to press hard. My understanding is that the Japanese like the extra fine point so that they can write those crazy intricate kanji (Chinese characters).

Thanks so much for your review! and my records indicate that your refills made it all the way to the UK in about a week! I’m glad they all arrived safely!
